No School until Mon 13th Sept

Oh my gosh Room 6.  What an unbelievable few days we have had since the big earthquake on Saturday. I sincerely hope you are all safe and well and have not had too much damage to your homes.  I am fine and my home did not sustain any damage.
We heard today from the Ministry of Health that schools are closed until Monday 13th September due to unreliability of the water and the rechecking of structures due to the continued aftershocks.
Keep safe everyone.  Check the Civil Defence section inside the back cover of Yellow Pages to check that you are doing what you can.
I am sure each and everyone of you will have an experience to share.  Talk about them with friends and family.   I hope to see and hear from you soon about your experiences during this time.  My husband and I were in Kaikoura at the time of the earthquake so didn't experience the 7.1 quake.  But we certainly heard from our children minutes afterwards.   Luckily we had an emergency kit that they could use and use they certainly did!  Did you have an emergency kit to use?

  1. Hi everyone,
hope that everyone is alright and no one is hurt.
We had nothing broken at our place. Just one or two things fell over. Other than that we are fine. :)
